- To begin you will need the get the Salesforce object ID of the object you wish to link to. You can do by following the "Get the Salesforce Object ID" instructions for adding synchronous links.
- Go to the JIRA issue you wish to link
- Click either "Link" from the "More Actions" menu, or the "+" symbol next to the Issue Links section heading.

- The linking popup dialog should appear. This is the standard dialog for linking issues in JIRA, however there is now an extra tab on the left called "Connector Link". Click this to see the form on the right as below.

- Choose the Salesforce connection from the dropdown connection options.
- The "Remote Object" field will display all the options defined by the administrator. Select one.
- Paste in the object ID from step 1. Ensure the type of this object matches the option you chose in the previous step.
- Click the "Link" button to finish linking. The new remote object link will appear in the Links list as below.
