This page is a quick step by step guide on how to install and get the connector up and running.
Step 1 - Installation
Install the Connector
| If you are using Atlassian JIRA Studio or OnDemand, this should already be available in your instance so you can skip this step |
- Go to the UPM (Universal Plugin Manager) and choose "Upload Plugin"
- Browse and choose the connector obr file
- Restart JIRA
- Check Successful installation after restart
- Check the new "Cloud Connectors" sections is visible

Install the Connector License
- Go to the CustomWare Store and obtain a license
- Go to the Cloud Connectors section of JIRA Admin and choose Licensing
- Install a new license
- Upload license key file
- Check license is valid

Before Proceeding
There are a number of items you should consider when configuring the connector. We offer 3 different types of functionality for linking JIRA with Salesforce and you should consider which one best suits your needs before proceeding. The 3 different options are:
- Option 1: Remote System Reference (synchronizing)
- Option 2: Remote Object Link(s) (linking)
- Option 3: Remote Issue Link(s) (linking, only available in JIRA 5 and above)
