Challenge
- Adobe Open Sourced the Adobe Flex Development Framework and required a public facing bug and issue tracking system which would engage the Adobe Flex community to contribute to the development and support of Adobe Flex
- The implementation of a new system required existing bug records to be maintained

Solution
- Implemented a public version of Atlassians JIRA issue tracking system:
- Allowed community members to browse and create new issues
- Allowed internal Adobe engineers to track issues
- Migrated existing bug records from the various existing Adobe systems

Result
- Onsite work conducted in San Francisco (United States)
- Increased efficiency for Quality Assurance to review and maintain all issues on a daily basis
- JIRA approval voting allowed efficient prioritisation of issues
- Successful engagement of the Flex community stimulated the continual development and support of Flex
